Liverpool in fantastic victory

Fantastic!

Once again football has confirmed that no dramatist (with the possible exception of Shakespeare) could match the drama of sport.

Liverpool came from 3-0 at half-time to level in the 90 minutes, survive extra time and eventually take the Champions League from the clutches of AC Milan on penalties.

With their fifth victory, Liverpool get to keep the cup and what's more they might get to keep their ace, Steven Gerrard, who said after the game:

"I'll be having talks very shortly and it's looking good."

Red Letter Day for Ferguson and Wenger

Manchester United v Arsenal games are always exciting affairs, and tomorrow's F.A. Cup final should prove no different.

Manchester United have been in the news off the pitch. Sir Alex Ferguson, who has been in charge for more than 18 years, is due to begin a one-year rolling contract this summer. And if you believe the leaks Malcolm Glazer is keen for him to stay on.

The answer may lie on a more sociological level. The Guardian, yesterday, reported that everything else being equal sportsmen that wear red enjoy an advantage over those wearing white.
