One of the recent new features we have added to the site is a quote of the day on our front page.

This weekend, I'm afraid, Vladimir Nabokov will be quote of the day for 3 days running!

We should be back to normal from Tuesday.

Evolution continued; First anniversary

We're giving ourselves a pat on the back. It was just one year ago that we wrote our first entry in this blog on August 12, 2004:

There's a lot going on behind the scenes at biogs.com. I am striving to get the architecture right and improve the look of the pages. And then I'll get the content online! Significant changes will come but they will take some time before they see the light of day. So far I have not publicised this site as I am trying to get it as near to right before I attract visitors, but if there is anybody out there who has stumbled on this site then please do email me at webmaster@biogs.com with thoughts and suggestions. Cheers!

Amazingly, although we are over a million visitors to the site further on, a lot of the sentiments remain the same. We have all sorts of thoughts and innovations that we want to try out. We are determined to improve the design. And we will keep adding quality content.
