Paul Tulip, who lives in Leeds, was born on 1 October 1979 in Harrogate.

He gained a degree in Business and Sport from the University of Liverpool and had several jobs before becoming a Head Hunter.

Paul worked with Burns Carlton Plc, an Executive Search & Selection company.

Paul Tulip was one of the candidates highlighted by James Max of The Apprentice series 1 in his Apprentice Blog commenting:

"Great salesperson, rubbish with numbers. What is it about people called Paul? Paul Torissi in series one, though a very different character, was also a super salesperson but sensationally bad with numbers.

"This new Paul seems genuine and has a very engaging manner. I wonder if his strong sales ability and good banter will carry him through."

It didn't, Paul was the fourth from last to go. In the interview task, he failed to impress Sir Alan's cohorts and Sir Alan Sugar himself, seeing him in the boardroom for the first time, did not seem impressed and fired Paul.

Paul Tulip plays cricket for Collingham CC.
