At the end of 2005, Empire published a list of whom 10000 readers believed were the biggest film stars of all time. The first five were:
1. Tom Cruise
2. Robert De Niro
3. Harrison Ford
4. Al Pacino
5. Marilyn Monroe
Interestingly Tom Cruise was also voted the most irritating actor ahead of Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey.
There were several categories and Empire readers did brilliantly in choosing the excellent Steve Buscemi as their favourite unsung movie hero.
