The Independent in April 2006 compiled a list of the happiest people in Britain according to their panel of experts: Ann Widdecombe; Community Service Volunteers; Richard Harries, Bishop of Oxford; Keith Porteous Wood of the National Secular Society; Mark Hedges of 'Country Life'; and Dame Elisabeth Hoodless.
