December 2008: David Beckham's new tattoos

The Daily Mail carried an article on David Beckham's new tattoos, designed by Louis Malloy, which involve a Hebrew version of 'My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.'


February 2008: David and Victoria tattoo date of secret wedding ceremony

On 16 February 2008, the Daily Mirror reported that David and Victoria Beckham marked their second wedding ceremony by having matching wrist tattoos of Roman numeral VIII.V.MMVI, which stands for 8 March 2006, the date of the ceremony and that:

"Victoria, 33, had the commemorative tattoo done in the two weeks after the ceremony. David has a matching one.

"She has added the Latin phrase De Integro - meaning "Again from the start" - inked above the date. David has the same words on his body."


March 2007

Victoria Beckham's haircut reveals a tattoo in Hebrew running down her back. Sky has a good photo of Victoria's tattoo.


August 2005

Various sources have reported that David Beckham has added another tattoo on his left arm. The tattoo features the verse from the Old Testament's Song of Songs: "I am for my beloved and my beloved is for me."

Beckham’s wife, Victoria, is reported to have decided to get the same tattoo on her neck.



June 2005

According to the Mirror:

"David Beckham faces a bitter legal battle - over who owns the rights to his tattoos.

"Body artist Louis Molloy threatens to sue Becks, 30, and wife Victoria if they go ahead with plans to use the images in an ad campaign ..."

May 2005

On the 8th May, The Sunday Mirror reported:

"David Beckham's tattooist has really got the needle with him - after the soccer star banned him from signing a £500,000 deal to sell his designs in the Far East.

"Louis Molloy was delighted when he was approached by a group of Japanese businessmen who wanted to buy the rights to 10 famous designs he has tattooed on to the England captain over the last five-and-a-half years.

March 2005

According to The People:

"David Beckham is set to fly his personal tattooist to Madrid to have his third son's name - Cruz - etched on his arm.

"Trusted Manchester-based artist Louis Molloy will add to Becks' ever growing collection of body art."


November 2004

According to The Sun, Beckham is to have a tattoo of a giant Japanese dragon around his rib cage; and he also plans to have the name of his third child tattoed across his back. The Sun also points out that for a Gillette ad, a couple of Beckham's tattoos were airbrushed out.
