Chanelle Hayes
Chanelle Hayes was a 19 year-old student from just outside Wakefield when she entered Big Brother series 8.
It looked as if Chanelle might end up walking from the Big Brother house on 29 July 2007.
It came as a surprise because the person she could not stand, Charley, had just been evicted. On the other hand, the night before, Chanelle had a heavy break-up with Ziggy.
In the end, however, Chanelle Hayes returned to the house and then decided to leave Big Brother the following day.
It was not the last that Big Brother series 8 would see of Chanelle. In the last week of the series, she entered the house as a mystery guest in The Big Brother Quiz. Ziggy and Carole, blindfolded, guessed correctly that it was her.
Big Brother's Little Brother revealed that Chanelle did very well in her IQ test, and, in particular, scored very high results for her numerical skills.
Chanelle's Myspace page traces her education from Horbury School to Greenhead College and then to New College Pontefract, where she studies Spanish and English.
Chanelle Hayes believes she looks like Victoria Beckham and one of her highlights was meeting Posh at a book signing.
During Big Brother, Chanelle could not stand Charley Uchea and in the diary room said of her:
"I dislike this person [Charley] more than I probably ever disliked anyone apart from Rebecca Loos - maybe on a par."
Before Big Brother, Chanelle Hayes was doing her A-levels and working in a bank.
According to the Daily Star article, Posh lookalike nympho, Chanelle had told her mother Christine that she had not got through the Big Brother auditions.
The Sun reported that it was not just Chanelle Hayes's family that was surprised she was in Big Brother. She had also told former boyfriend Wakefield Trinity Wildcat Ryan Atkins that she was going to Cuba.
In the first week of Big Brother it was Chanelle of all the housemates that attracted most attention from the tabloids. The Sunday Mirror, The People and The Sun all carried articles about Chanelle's childhood.
In Big Brother, Chanelle had an on/off relationship with Ziggy.
On 3 July 2007, it was announced that Chanelle and Laura were nominated. However, it was Laura who became the fourth housemate to go after getting 68% of the public vote to be evicted.
In 2008 Chanelle: Wannabe Pop star was transmitted on VH1 and Chanelle's debut single I Want It was scheduled for release in May 2008.
In April 2008, The Sun carried a video of Chanelle, in what they described as a saucy sex clip, but commented, "cynics today dismissed the images as a contrived publicity stunt."
