Big Brother housemate Gerry Stergiopoulos

Gerry Stergiopoulos was a 31 year old gallery researcher living in South London when he entered Big Brother series 8.

Gerry originally comes from Greece but came to the UK twelve years before his entry to Big Brother in 2007.

Gerry became the tenth person to be evicted from Big Brother series 8. He and Carole had received the most public votes to be evicted and the 'gurus' Ziggy, Tracey and the twins had the final choice between the two and decided to evict Gerry.

Gerry had received 24% of the public vote to go, whereas Carole got 49%.

Before Big Brother, Gerry said he had been gay for a while, but was fed up with boys and would classify his sexual orientation as 'open-minded'.

Gerry Stergiopoulos has three degrees including an MSc in Archaeology and a D Phil. After school he studied for nine years at university, and has written two articles in books including one on Bronze Age idols.

Gerry has also been a crowd marshal at Heathrow airport, and for one year worked at the Transport Museum in London's Covent Garden.

Gerry describes himself as an exhibitionist and the person he would most like to have met was Sigmund Freud.

Gerry Stergiopoulos together with Seány O'Kane arrived after the first week of Big Brother and they were only the second and third male housemates to arrive.
