Maysoon Shaladi was a 28 year-old model from London, but originally from Syria, when she entered Big Brother series 9.
Before Big Brother Maysoon had been modelling for around ten years and had appeared in various music videos by artists such as Sean Paul, Ludacris, Simon Webbe, and Kanye West.
Maysoon was spotted when she was 15 when she appeared in a commercial for Sky.
Maysoon Shaladi speaks fluent Arabic and is a Muslim.

On Day 55 of Big Brother series 9, it had looked like it was just Dale and Luke who were nominated, but because of a rule infringement, Maysoon Shaladi along with Darnell, Kathreya, Mohamed, Rachel, Rex and Stuart also faced the public vote.
