Big Brother housemate Seány O'Kane
Seány O'Kane was a 25 year old development worker when he entered Big Brother series 8. He had originally applied to Big Brother four years previously.
Even before Big Brother, Seany O'Kane was no stranger to the media. The Sydney Morning Herald has a photo of Seany hitting "a Jackson impersonator outside the court, accusing him of mocking the pop star."
Seany is the main contact of the Tell-Ex Anti-Racism Project based at Toxteth Educational Trust, in Windsor Primary School, Liverpool, whose aim is "to develop practical and emotional support to children experiencing racism, and developing initiatives to enhance their safety and reduce their fear of crime. It also works with perpetrators of racial abuse and bullying."
Given his job, it is ironic that Seany is arriving just after the departure of Emily Parr from Big Brother and the N-Word controversy.
Seány O'Kane works with young people and considers elderly people 'living history' but 'they don't walk fast enough'.
Seány considers himself gay but with a heterosexual lifestyle. He told his mother he was gay 18 months before going into Big Brother, but his father, Sean, did not know until Big Brother went out.
He is a huge fan of Michael Jackson and even went to the States to see Jackson on trial.
At college, Seany was a peace representative and visited the White House where he met Hillary Clinton.
Seany O'Kane has been cast in Bloody Sunday with James Nesbitt and has met Wolf from Gladiators.
Seany likes Girls Aloud, but is lactose intolerant. His dream job would be inventing and testing toys.
In the third week of Big Brother, Seany along with Jonathan and Carole was nominated for eviction. They were also given the role of choosing a housemate to receive £100,000 and they selected Liam.
In a surprise result, it was Seany, whom the public voted to be the second eviction. Seany got 44.5% of the vote.
