James Zinkand, sometimes referred to as Crazy James, was 21 when he entered the Big Brother house in 2008.

Before Big Brother, Crazy James Zinkand, who went to Sarasota High, had started a "WorldRider" bike tour around the USA on $100.

Up to the time he entered Big Brother, James Zinkand had cycled 7000 miles.

Discussing his trip with creative loafing, James Zinkand, said: "The gut is always right -- listen to the gut."

James Zinkand sports a pink Mohawk and several tattoos.

James Zinkand was born on November 21, 1986.

In Big Brother series 9 James was paired with his 'soulmate' Chelsia.

When James and Chelsia became heads of household they nominated Amanda and Alex and Matt and Natalie.

Soon after, crazy James Zinkand found himself surprisingly on the block, when Ryan chose to replace Chelsia, who had saved herself through the power of veto, with James.

Up against Sharon, James Zinkand was then evicted by a 5-1 vote, but in a twist he was immediately brought back in.

America had voted Alex Coladonato to have the chance to go back in to Big Brother and the houseguests had to vote between James and the mystery former houseguest (it was kept secret from them that Alex had won the vote) to re-enter the house and the houseguests saved James by a 5-3 vote.

Like Ryan in the week before, James Zinkand went straight from being 'evicted' to becoming head of household, which he won after a fierce struggle of attrition with Natalie.

James nominated Ryan and Sheila, however, he later won the power of veto and used it on Sheila and replaced her with Matt.

When the vote between Ryan and Matt was 3-3, James Zinkand used his casting vote to evict Matt.

The following week James and Chelsia were nominated by Adam and for the second week running James Zinkand won the power of veto and saved himself.

After discussion with Chelsia, James voted along with everyone else for her to leave, but left a message that he wanted their relationship to continue outside the Big Brother house.

The following week crazy James Zinkand was nominated by Natalie, but for the third week running he won the power of veto and saved himself from almost certain eviction.

However, with his allies gradually being removed and finally not winning the power of veto, James Zinkand found himself losing a 3-0 vote when up against Sharon. Sheila, Ryan and Natalie all voted to evict Crazy James from Big Brother.

Nevertheless "Crazy" James Zinkand did not go away empty-handed. The American public voted James their favorite player and so he won $25,000.
