Castaway: Catrin
Half way through Castaway 2007, Catrin, who was a 20 year-old psychology student from Cardiff, was voted on to the BBC show.
Catrin beat off competition from three other contenders for the extra place on Castaway: Alex, a supermarket worker aged 23 from Cornwall; Lawrence, a retail manager aged 21 from Surrey; and Robina, a trainer for a charity aged 22 from Shropshire.
At the time of Castaway, Catrin was studying at Liverpool University.
Catrin told the BBC's Castaway website that her ambition was: "To do voluntary work in Africa and make as much difference as possible. I don't expect to be able to make everything better - but for the lives I do make better, it would be quite an achievement!"
