Francie Smee
Francie Smee was 56 years old when she entered Castaway in 2007.
In the end Francie Smee was runner-up in Castaway, outlasted only by Jonathan. Francie said that her time on the series was "the most wonderful experience" and she told Danny Wallace, "I've found the old Francie, the bubbles!"
Francie Smee trained as a nursery nurse, but before going on BBC's Castaway worked as an administrator with a team of researchers at Oxford University's Department of Primary Health Care.
Francie Smee was divorced three years before Castaway, following 20 years of marriage.
Francie has three grown-up daughters.
Francie says she is bossy and can fish, trap and gut, but loathes housework.
