Claudia Fragapane was born on 24 October 1997 in Bristol.

Her father, who heralds from Sicily, owns a play centre Noah’s Ark in Brislington.

At just six years old, she started being trained in gymnastics by Helen Potter of the Bristol Hawks.

In 2014 Claudia Fragapane won four gold medals for Team England at the Commonwealth games including the all-around title.

She became the first English woman in 84 years to win four gold medals at the Commonwealth Games.

In 2015, she won floor silver at the European Championships.

Claudia Fragapane was part of the British team that took bronze at the 2015 World Championships.

She represented Team GB in gymnastics in the Rio Olympics in 2016, however she fell on the uneven bars and the balance beam in the qualifications round and missed the cut for the all-around final.

Shortly after Rio, she was in the news again, as the BBC revealed that Claudia Fragapane was to be one of the celebrities on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

She was partnered by AJ Pritchard. Claudia and AJ just missed out on the final, coming fourth, after losing the dance-off to Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse.
