Toni Braxton was born in Maryland, USA.

Her family were very religious and Toni Braxton and her sisters sang in church.

Later on, Toni Braxton's singing would bring her six Grammy Awards with worldwide sales of over 40 million.

Toni Braxton's Un-Break My Heart became the second biggest single ever by a female singer.

Nevertheless, a BBC article on the music business claimed that "major acts, such as Toni Braxton, have declared bankruptcy because their finances were so squeezed by their label contract."

In May 2008 Toni Braxton cancelled her resident Las Vegas shows for health reasons. She had been due to end her two-year run in August.

In 2001, Toni Braxton married Mint Condition keyboardist Keri Lewis.

Shortly after leaving Dancing with the Stars in 2008, Toni Braxton had a benign tumour removed from her breast.

On 8 October 2010, the BBC reported that Toni Braxton had filed for bankruptcy for the second time.

In Dancing with the Stars series 7, Toni Braxton danced with Alec Mazo. They were eliminated in the fifth week.
