Mike Catherwood
'Psycho Mike' Catherwood was born and brought up in Los Angeles.
Mike Catherwood is a mixed race Hispanic who studied theatre at Rutgers University.
He had a battle with drugs and alcohol and started working in radio in 2003 when he got a job at KROQ as a promotions assistant.
He worked his way up and became a co-host of the nationally syndicated Loveline Show opposite Dr. Drew; as well as being a member of the Kevin & Bean Morning Show.
Before he was chosen to be on Dancing with the Stars season 12, his TV appearances were relatively limited although he gained a lot of exposure with his appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly.
Asked the difference between being on TV and radio Mike Catherwood replied:
" ... I'm the host of a show that's heard coast to coast. Yet, I still get treated like a sh*tbag ..."
In Dancing with the Stars season 12, 'Psycho Mike' Catherwood was paired with Lacey Schwimmer.
They were the first pair to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars.
