Lauren Samuels's Biography
Lauren Samuels started ballet classes at 2, private LAMDA tutorials at the Hinkley Speech and Drama Studio at 7, and singing lessons at 13.
Lauren was born with a condition which meant she had to wear two hearing aids, however when she was 18, she fully gained her hearing.
She won a scholarship to the Guildford School of Acting (GSA), where she gained a BA (Hons) Musical Theatre, having studied there from 2006 - 2009.
Lauren, who is 5'3", starred in various performances whilst at GSA.
Lauren took the stage name Samuels after her older brother Samuel.
She made her professional debut playing Wendy in Peter Pan at the Curve in Leicester at Christmas 2009.
The Guardian review of her performance implied Lauren Samuels deserved better material:
"Lauren Samuels' Wendy is earnest and perpetually puzzled as if wondering why her agent ever put her up for the job. With better material they may well shine, but I suspect that everyone involved knows that this production is a Christmas turkey that is never going to take flight."
On 26 July 2010, Lauren Samuels made her West End debut as Sandy in Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre.
