Tommy Boyd's afternoon slot at BBC Southern Counties has finished. Tommy Boyd has moved to Original 106's Breakfast slot.
August 2007: Tommy Boyd on Play Radio
Tommy Boyd continues to experiment and has now added another string to his bow. Together with Duncan Barkes he is broadcasting on Sunday night on Play Radio.

March 2007: Tommy Boyd archive not accessible
Tommy Boyd's afternoon show has been truly excellent. However, since the end of February we have not been able to subscribe to the ipod service.
Kayotix has some information on the change in the archiving situation.
September 2006: Tommy Boyd not on myspace
Tommy Boyd revealed on his Southern Counties radio show that the 'Tommy Boyd' on myspace is not actually him. He also mentioned that his father was a bodybuilder, who knew Arnold Schwarzenegger.
April 2006: Tommy Boyd schedule details
Tommy will broadcast on BBC Southern Counties Radio between 13.00 and 16.00 on weekdays.

The Tommy Boyd and Allison Ferns Show is moving from Saturday nights to weekday afternoons. Listeners put together an excellent one hour compilation in the March 4 show of Saturday night highlights.
23/1/05: Tommy Boyd on the Ego
I've just got round to listening to Tommy Boyd's show from 15 January 2005. Truly excellent! Highlights were an entertaining account of two chaps complaining about Tommy on the Southern Counties web forum; and a fellow who rang in and described how he just happened to pop in to Graceland and share two whisky and waters with Elvis. Much later on in the show, the chap, Michael, rang back and played his 102 year old ukelele or banjo.
But my favourite Tommy Boyd line from the programme was:
"Isn't the Ego a wonderful thing?"

Southern Counties Radio had signed up Tommy to present the Saturday night
9pm-1am slot!
Tommy Boyd made his debut on Southern Counties on Saturday 18th September, and is
presenting permanently there. You can listen to him every Saturday. I'm not that technical but I tuned my audio player to http://www.bbc.co.uk/england/realmedia/live/localradio/southerncounties.ram and it worked. I've no idea whether that URL works with all audio players.
As I'm typing this I'm listening to an archive from the new Tommy Boyd show via Kayotix. Kayotix also provide some good quotes from each show. For example, from February 11, 2006:
"I often suffer from the opposite of loneliness, which is; where I am with a bunch of people and I wish I was on my own."
It's wonderful. Already I've heard: "Pay attention"; "Do you know how to have a Conversation"; "Don't Get me started on Churchill". The boy, Boyd is back! Now watch this space to see for how long!
