1 March 2007 - Rooney says Cristiano Ronaldo is the world's best player

It looks like any aggravation from the 2006 World Cup has long gone after Wayne Rooney complimented Manchester United colleague Cristiano Ronaldo in the most glowing terms.

In an interview with Sport magazine, Rooney said:

"I'm just delighted he's playing for us because at this moment he's the best player in the world."
