Cesc Fabregas's skills attracted interest from other clubs, however he put all these rumours to rest when he broke another record by signing the longest contract in Premiership history - eight years.
In March 2006, Fabregas made his debut for Spain.
In April 2008, Cesc Fabregas was named the Professional Footballers' Association's Young Player of the Year.
