Both Grant Bovey and his second wife Anthea Turner were selected as celebrity contestants on Hell's Kitchen in 2009.

Grant Bovey was the second celebrity to be sacked from Hell's Kitchen.

Grant Bovey has three children from his first marriage to Della.

He was raised in Nottingham.

Grant Bovey's father was a union official and his mother was a seamstress. On Hell's Kitchen, Grant Bovey revealed that 'he lost his parents relatively young.'

His first job was working as a market stall holder.

Later Grant Bovey had a spell at a film acquisition company Braveworld, before setting up some small media companies and then getting into property.

His property interests expanded but The Observer explains how Grant Bovey's property company turned sour:

"The Imagine group of companies was slated for a stockmarket float, amid talk from Bovey that revenues could reach £1bn. Sales offices opened in Dubai, Singapore and Ireland. In fact, the latest accounts show revenue of just £53m.

"It was all made possible by HBOS, Britain's biggest property lender, which, even after the demise of Northern Rock in September 2007, pumped more than £40m into Bovey's enterprises.

"Last month, Bovey and Turner crashed to earth; their empire is in administration. The UK taxpayer is now exposed to the debts Bovey incurred at HBOS."

In July 2009, The Mail published an update on Grant Bovey's financial difficulties.

In 2015, Grant Bovey and Anthea Turner divorced after he had an affair with Zoe de Mallet Morgan.

In 2016, he became one of the housemates on Celebrity Big Brother, however, he was the first celebrity to be voted out.
