Liam Gallagher's Biography
Liam Gallagher formed a group with Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCaroll. They were joined by Liam's brother Noel Gallagher and the band became Oasis.
Alan McGee of Creation Records signed Oasis and their first album Definitely Maybe became the fastest-selling debut in British history.
Oasis followed up with the hugely successful album, (What's The Story) Morning Glory, which became the third biggest-selling album ever in the UK.
Liam Gallagher was married to Patsy Kensit. However Gallagher and Kensit divorced after she cited unreasonable behaviour. Soon afterwards, Liam Gallagher started going out with Nicole Appleton. They married in 2008.
Liam Gallagher has a son with Appleton, 33, a son with Kensit, and a daughter with Lisa Moorish.
Oasis continued to produce albums although over the years the members of the band have changed. Their albums included Be Here Now, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, Heathen Chemistry, Don't Believe The Truth and a greatest hits album Stop The Clocks. In 2008 Oasis were releasing their seventh studio album, Dig Out Your Soul.
Liam Gallagher is in regular contact with his mother who lives in Burnage in Manchester, but is not in contact with his father.
Liam Gallagher told The Times: "I don't pray and I don't go to church but I'm intrigued by it, I dig it. I'm into the idea that there could be a God and aliens and reincarnation and some geezer years ago turning water into wine. I don't believe when you die, you die. All the beautiful people who have been and gone, Lennon, Hendrix, they're somewhere else, man. Whether it's here or whether it's there, they're doing some musical thingummyjig. They got to be somewhere else, haven't they? I'd like it if everyone were all right at the end of it."
In 2009, Liam Gallagher launched a new fashion label, Pretty Green, a range of menswear essentials, tailored by Nick Holland, of Holland Esquire.
On 29 August 2009, the BBC reported that Noel Gallagher had quit Oasis, stating that he can no longer work with Liam Gallagher.
In November 2009, Liam Gallagher stated that he was recording with the members of Oasis, apart from his brother Noel.
On 25 May 2010 it was revealed that Liam Gallagher and his new band were called Beady Eye.
