Tom Green was born in Ontario in Canada on 30 July 1971.

Tom Green returned to the format via Tom Green Live broadcast live on the internet from his living room.

Tom Green's film credits include Charlie's Angels, Stealing Harvard, Road Trip, and Freddy Got Fingered. In 2002 Tom Green made history by becoming the first performer to receive a worst actor Razzie in person. The BBC reported how Tom Green turned up at the Raspberry awards to collect five awards for his film Freddy Got Fingered.

Tom Green was married to Drew Barrymore, but they broke up after less than a year of marriage. Tom Green and Drew Barrymore had married in the South Pacific in March 2001 and then remarried in July in a ceremony in Malibu, California.

In 2005, Green wrote his autobiography, Hollywood Causes Cancer: The Tom Green Story.

Tom Green, who had testicular cancer, broadcast The Tom Green Cancer Special, and, in 2009, his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice was on behalf of the charity, Butch Walts and Donald Skinner Urologic Cancer Research Foundation. Tom Green was the third candidate fired from Celebrity Apprentice season 2.
