Anton du Beke

In series five of Strictly Come Dancing, Anton du Beke danced with Kate Garraway.

The couple did not get good scores from the judges, but were kept in by the public until on 18 November 2007, they were the seventh couple to be eliminated.

Anton du Beke, who partnered Patsy Palmer in Strictly Come Dancing series 3, partnered Jan Ravens in series 4 and they went out in the fifth round.

Anton du Beke, whose real name is Tony Beak, is the professional partner of Erin Boag - according to their official website, after turning professional in 2002:

"Their first professional competition was the British National Dance Championships at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, where they came third."

Anton du Beke is IDTA Classic Champion 2003.

His favourite dance is the foxtrot, whilst his least favourite is the samba.

When asked if he had any vices, Anton told the Guardian weekend magazine "I'd love to cut down on women". Anton du Beke also told the Guardian that "Dancers never receive the credit they deserve".

Like many of the other dancers, Anton and Erin offer private lessons and workshops.

Together with Erin Boag and Alan Harding, Anton is a choreographer for the stage show Simply Ballroom.

Anton du Beke enjoys golf and often partners Len Goodman. Nobody has yet analysed Len's voting record on Anton's performances in Strictly Come Dancing!

In November 2007, the Daily Mail reported that Anton du Beke had split up with his girlfriend, Caroline Feraday.

In 2008, ITV announced that Anton du Beke will teach the recruits and his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Kate Garraway a dance routine on Inch-Loss Island on GMTV.
