Natalie Gumede was born on March 20, 1984 in Burnley.
She moved to London at 17 to study performance at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
Natalie was keen on dancing, but an injury when she was 19, prevented her from pursuing that area.
Subsequently, she gained numerous acting credits including Ideal, Emmerdale, Doctors, and Wire In The Blood.
Natalie Gumede received widespread public attention for her role as Kirsty Soames in Coronation Street. As a result, she won Best Dramatic Performance, Best Villain and Best Storyline for Coronation Street at 2013 British Soap Awards and, in the previous year, Best Newcomer Award.
In 2013, Natalie Gumede was one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
She was paired with Artem Chigvintsev.
Natalie and Artem regularly achieved high scores but in the middle of the series, Natalie fainted during the rehearsals and had to miss a week under doctors orders but was given permission to return to Strictly Come Dancing the following week.
