Mica Paris
Mica Paris was born on 27 April 1969. She went to Lewisham Girls and got her breakthrough in the music business at 17 when she became a backing vocalist with Hollywood Beyond.
Although Mica Paris went on to release several albums it was her debut in 1988, 'So Good', that produced her most famous song 'You Are My One Temptation'.
Mica Paris has presented Soul Solutions on BBC Radio 2 as well as radio documentaries such as Purple Reign: The Prince Story and a six-part series on Aretha Franklin.
Mica Paris has also hosted shows on TV and although in the past they have had a musical theme, more recently together with Lisa Butcher, Mica Paris took over the presenting of What Not To Wear from Trinny and Susannah.
As well as drawing inspiration from Chaka Khan, who is godmother to her daughter, Mica Paris told The Guardian about the importance of Whitney Houston:
"Whitney opened the door for people like me, while Diana Ross opened the door for Whitney, so you need these major artists to make it happen for so many other people. I've got a lot to thank that girl for. So Whitney, get your arse together and make another bloody record, for God's sake."

In Strictly Come Dancing, Mica Paris danced with Ian Waite, however she was surprisingly the first woman to be voted off. Nicholas Owen had faced the chop in the first week.
In January 2007, it was announced that Mica Paris was co-hosting Sound & Vision 2007 on behalf of Cancer Research UK.
