January 2008: Mikhail Youzhny beaten in quarter-finals
Fourteenth seed Mikhail Youzhny was having a good Australian Open, however he was beaten in the quarter-finals by the unseeded but in-form Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-5 6-0 7-6 (8-6).
January 2008: Mikhail Youzhny wins in the Chennai Open
Mihail Youzhny beat Rafael Nadal 6-0 6-1 in the final of the Chennai Open.
Admittedly, Nadal had to call for medical attention during the match and was not at his best, but nevertheless it was a great win for Youzhny.
It was Mikhail Youzhny's fourth title.
