Zoë Kravitz was born on 1 December 1988 in California.

She is the daughter of the musician Lenny Kravitz and the actor Lisa Bonet, who played Denise Huxtable in The Cosby Show.

Her parents divorced when Zoe was five.

When she was 11 years old Zoe Kravitz moved to Miami, where she lived with her father before attending the Rudolph Steiner school in Manhattan.

Her first film role was in 2007 playing Charlotte in No Reservations.

Subsequently she has had numerous acting roles in film and TV including playing Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class, Marie in The Road Within, Nakia in Dope, and Lestrange in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

One of her most important roles has been playing Bonnie Carlson in the HBO miniseries Big Little Lies.

Trivia
She is in the Brooklyn electro trio LolaWolf and has a band called Elevator Fight.
