Who is Anita Harris?

When Anita was just a teenager, she was talent spotted and went to the States to dance in a revue in Las Vegas.

After six months, homesick, she returned to the UK and joined The Granadiers singing group and then performed with The Cliff Adams Singers.

Anita Harris went on to have a successful career as a singer, actress, and a magician's assistant.

Much of her success came in the 1960s. Just Loving You reached number 6 in the charts in 1967. The same year that Anita appeared as Nurse Clark in Carry On Doctor and Cork Tip in Carry on Follow That Camel.

Some of the highlights of Anita Harris's career were numerous panto appearances, several Royal Command Performances, starring in Cats for over a decade, appearing for seven years with television magician David Nixon, and posing nude in top shelf magazine Mayfair.

Her more recent acting credits include Midsomer Murders and Casualty.

In 2018, Anita Harris became one of the contestants on Celebrity Masterchef.

In 1973, she married Mike Margolis, who was her record producer. At one point they were reportedly in financial difficulties, after losing their savings when a Swiss Bank collapsed.
