Alex Wotherspoon was a 24-year-old regional sales manager living in Bolton when he entered The Apprentice series 4.

In the first week of The Apprentice, Alex Wotherspoon was the team leader of the men, who were the losing side. However, Alex survived after taking Raef and Nicholas into the boardroom, and Sir Alan Sugar fired the latter.

Twelve weeks later, Alex Wotherspoon went on to reach the final of The Apprentice, but in the final the eventual winner Lee McQueen and runner-up Claire Young consigned Alex Wotherspoon and Helene Speight to joint third and fourth places.

Alex is the youngest candidate ever to reach the final of The Apprentice.

Alex Wotherspoon gained a BA in Managerial Administrative Studies at Aston Business School.

Before becoming a sales manager across the north of England and managing a team of 30 sales agents at Sainsburys Energy, Alex Wotherspoon had worked as a landscape gardener, and had also gone to Texas and worked as a Loan Officer.

Alex enjoys boxing, ballroom dancing, and water sports. Alex Wotherspoon's wife is Hannah Robinson, who, he says, has skin like Cheryl Cole.

Whilst at University, Alex Wotherspoon did some modelling.

In his time, Alex Wotherspoon has punctured a lung, broken ribs, severed his voice box, broken fingers and dislocated his jaw.

In June 2008, Alex Wotherspoon joined the books of Models 1 modelling agency.

He later launched his own company ARW Wealth Management.

On 20 August 2012. Alex's wife Hannah gave birth to a son Moses.
