Neil Clough was a 32-year-old regional manager of soccer centres, living in Altrincham, when he entered The Apprentice series 9.

Neil, who supports Manchester United, used to play semi-professional football.

One of Neil Clough's first jobs was in telesales.

In his audition for The Apprentice, Neil Clough said that his game plan was to avoid getting fired even if it meant cheating.

His idea for a business that he brought to The Apprentice was an online estate agency, however after The Apprentice, Neil went on to become a sales consultant and motivational speaker.

Neil Clough came fourth, after Lord Sugar expressed disappointment in his business plan. Lord Sugar said that if it had been a question of giving him a job then he would, but it was about investing in a business plan.

After he was fired, Neil said that it was the first time he had a tear in eye.
