Dirk Benedict's Biography

Dirk Benedict was born Dirk Niewoehner on 1 March 1945 in Montana, USA.

Dirk Benedict is best known for playing the handsome Templeton Peck aka Face in the 1980s hit TV show The A-Team.

Before The A-Team, Dirk Benedict had numerous roles on TV and in the theatre. The role that provided his major breakthrough was in 1978, when he starred as Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica.

Dirk Benedict has written his autobiography Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy: A True Story of Discovery, Acting, Health, Illness, Recovery, and Life.

Amongst other things, it deals with his battle with the cancer using a Macrobiotic approach.

He followed up with another personal memoir, And Then We Went Fishing.

Dirk Benedict came third in Celebrity Big Brother 2007 in the UK.

Dirk Benedict claims that he has not lost his temper since he gave up eating meat about two decades before his entrance in the Big Brother house. However, he seemed pretty close to the edge in Big Brother, particularly when the subject of Cleo Rocos's attentions.
