Carole Malone's Biography
Carole Malone was born on 14 October 1959.
In 2007, after ten years at the Sunday Mirror, Carole Malone moved to its rival the News of the World to write her column. However, the News of the World closed down in 2011, after the phone hacking scandal hit the paper.
Carole Malone must be one of the unluckiest Big Brother contestants ever. Up for eviction, partially because of discussing nominations, she was to face Dirk Benedict and Leo Sayer in the public poll. However at 1.15pm on the last day of the public vote, Leo Sayer did a runner from the house - at that stage he had the largest percentage of public votes to evict. Because of Leo Sayer's unplanned exit, Carole Malone was later evicted.
Carole Malone also appeared on ITV's Celebrity Fit Club, which she started at 15st 10lb and went down to 12 stones 10 lbs after 9 weeks.
When her mother passed away, Carole Malone wrote a very moving portrait of her including this memory:
"She was the sort of woman who even when I was young and we could barely afford to eat I'd see her dishing up a fourth, sometimes even a fifth plate of dinner (there was only me, her and my Dad Jim) and when I'd ask who else was coming she'd say no one but she was taking them to the two old dears down the road who hadn't eaten properly in weeks."
In another article in The Sunday Mirror, Carole Malone wrote a scathing attack on Teddy Sheringham's behaviour towards fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Danielle Lloyd.
