Marcus Akin's Biography

Marcus Akin was a 35-year-old window fitter living with his mother Diane in Brentford in London when he entered Big Brother.

Marcus was involved in renovating the windows in Windsor Castle.

On Day 4 of Big Brother, Marcus was voted a housemate (from non-housemate) by the public.

Marcus Akin was up against Halfwit (Freddie), Charlie, Kris and Dogface (Sophie) to be the fifth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother. Marcus survived and Kris was evicted.

On day 48 of Big Brother series 10, Marcus Akin along with ten other housemates found himself up for eviction after a failed task by new housemates and a rule break by most of the old housemates, however as Kenny walked out of the house, the eviction was cancelled.

On day 55 of Big Brother, Marcus was nominated alongside Noirin. Ironically the two had been very close until a few days earlier when Noirin revealed to Marcus that she and Siavash had been having a kiss and cuddle. The complexity increased when Noirin's ex-boyfriend Isaac Stout entered the house. Marcus survived when Noirin lost the public vote.

On Day 69 of Big Brother, Marcus Akin and Halfwit (Freddie Fisher) were nominated for eviction. Marcus survived the public vote.

The following week, Marcus was up for eviction again. He survived.

On Day 83 Marcus got nominated for the fifth consecutive week, this time it was alongside Siavash, however this time it was Marcus who was voted out.

Marcus went to Hounslow Manor School. Marcus once set fire to his own face and rode a motorbike through a school corridor.

Marcus Akin, whose nickname is dark horse, has a Siamese cat called Abdul, and has been compared to the comic strip character Wolverine.

Marcus Akin is into guitars. He has completed courses in Japanese, interior design, grounds maintenance, health and safety, food safety, first aid, and construction.

Marcus makes toy action figures. Two of his friends have toy companies and he bought into one.

Marcus Akin does not have a large family and has just a mother and brother alive.

He has a very close friendship with Phil and 'Dirty' Dave, whom he has known since he was 6.
