Orlaith McAllister's Biography
Early Life and Beauty Parades
Orlaith McAllister is a former Miss Belfast, who was runner up in the Miss Northern Ireland contest in 1999.
Orlaith was beaten by Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon, who said that Orlaith is a normal friendly fun person.
Orlaith McAllister was having another go at a beauty title when she was selected to represent Belfast at Miss Great Britain on February 25, 2006, however she lost out to winner, Danielle Lloyd, who later had her title removed.
In the autumn of 2005, after her appearance on Big Brother, bids for a date with Orlaith were closed having reached £4300 (for charity).
In the past Orlaith McAllister was romantically linked with Calum Best.
After leaving the Big Brother house, Orlaith said that she met Calum Best in the Apartment Bar in Belfast in March 2005 after she broke up with Paul Rodgers.
Previously, Orlaith used to go out with hockey player Curt Bowen.
Orlaith got engaged to millionaire presenter of How to be a Property Developer, Gary McCausland.
In 2007, they had a baby, whom they named Eva, but they broke up soon afterwards.
Orlaith McAllister studied business studies and she told the Irish Examiner: "My ambition is to travel and work in International Marketing, ideally in countries like Japan and the US."
Orlaith McAllister, who was 26 years old when she entered Big Brother, is a shopaholic, who enjoys boxing and snowboarding.
Orlaith had a boob job changing her from a 30a to 30e.
Big Brother and Modelling
Having beaten off Science one week and Kemal another, when up for nomination, Orlaith surprised Big Brother fans by following through on her threats to walk out of the house. She left via the diary room, citing problems with Derek as the main reason for her wishing to leave Big Brother.
Soon after leaving Big Brother, on August 5th 2005 Orlaith was a Page 3 girl in The Sun, she told the paper:
"I've always wanted to do this. It's a fantastic honour."
In August 2005 Orlaith became a cover girl of FHM.com.
Orlaith's idol is Marilyn Monroe.
Orlaith claims never to put on weight whatever she eats, and says that living with six family members has stood her in good stead for the Big Brother house.
Orlaith McAllister ran the 2006 London Marathon in just under six hours.
