Dan Gheesling gained a Master's Degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University.

Dan once worked as a college football coach.

In episode 9 of Big Brother 10, Dan Gheesling took on the role of America's Player, which means he has to get someone nominated, complete a task, and vote the way America wants on the next eviction.

Dan along with Robert "Memphis" Garrett reached the final of Big Brother series 10.

On Day 71 Dan won Big Brother series 10 after a 7-0 vote of the jury of former houseguests.

After Big Brother Dan went back to teaching biology and physical education to freshmen.
