With just Adam, Ryan, Natalie and Sharon left, Sheila Kennedy won head of household and nominated Adam and Sharon.
When Adam won power of veto, Sheila Kennedy put up Natalie with the hope of back-dooring her. After Natalie's departure, Sheila survived a vote when Adam chose to evict Sharon and keep her.
Therefore Sheila Kennedy, along with Ryan and Adam, reached the last three in Big Brother series 9. However, on Day 77 of Big Brother, the head of household Ryan chose to evict Sheila Kennedy, thereby consigning her to third place.
