Who is Cheryl Baker?

Cheryl Baker was born in London on 8 March 1954.

She was a singer with the band Mother's Pride that went on to become Coco, which represented the UK, performing The Bad Old Days, at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1978.

It was not a great success and Cheryl Baker did not have happy memories of the event.

However, she bounced back when her new band Bucks Fizz, comprising of herself, Mike Nolan, Bobby G, and Jay Aston won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 with Making Your Mind Up.

Bucks Fizz went on to have three number ones Making Your Mind Up, The Land Of Make Believe, and My Camera Never Lies.

As well as singing, Cheryl Baker has also been a presenter, for example, of the BBC show Record Breakers.

She has also acted in shows such as Footloose and Happy Days The Musical.

Additionally, Bucks Fizz reformed as The Original Bucks Fizz and have performed from time to time.
