Lady Colin Campbell was born in Jamaica on 17 August 1949.

She was born with genital deformities and was wrongly registered as a boy and christened George William Ziadie.

Her early teenage years were spent at her father’s old school, an all-boys’ Catholic seminary, where she was bullied, after which, however, she lived her life as a girl, and at 21 had corrective surgery in New York.

She had gone there to study fashion design.

At 24, she married Colin Campbell, but soon left him after it emerged he was an alcoholic and drug addict. It was through that marriage that she got her title of lady as Colin Campbell was the younger brother of the 12th Duke of Argyll.

Lady Colin Campbell's books include The Real Diana and The Untold Life of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

In 2015, she became one of the celebrities on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. She left the show on the 17th day on medical grounds.
