Penn Jillette is most famous for being the more vocal and physically larger component of Penn and Teller.

Penn and Teller got together as a comedy and magic act in 1975.

By the mid-1980s Penn & Teller were so successful that they were appearing on TV and on Broadway.

In the 1990s, Penn & Teller appeared regularly on popular chat shows like Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as making appearances in fictional contexts such as Friends, Dharma & Greg, and Home Improvement.

Penn & Teller also produced their own popular TV specials.

In his home, Penn Jillette's appreciation of James Randi is evidenced by a poster featuring The Amazing Randi.

USA Today has an interesting article about Penn Jillette's home including its bondage room!

Whilst Penn Jillette appreciates James Randi, he has not always been positive about David Blaine, saying of Blaine's long stay within a block of ice:

"Pumping hot air into a phone booth and putting ice around it, and standing around without a thought in your head isn't a trick. The hardest part of this trick is being in there and looking good without a shirt on."

In the sixth series of Dancing with the Stars, Penn Jillette partnered Kym Johnson.

Penn Jillette was an interesting dance partner for Kym Johnson as he is 6 foot 6 inches tall. In the event, Penn Jillette was the first male celebrity to be voted off Dancing with the Stars.

In 2011 ITV broadcast Penn & Teller: Fool Us.
