Evan Lysacek's Biography

Evan Lysacek was born on 4 June 1985 in Chicago, and his hometown is Naperville, Illinois.

His skating achievements include being 2010 Olympic Champion and 2009 World Figure Skating Champion. He was Skating Magazine 2009 Readers' Choice Skater of the Year.

He started skating when he was 8. After graduating from high school in 2003, he moved to Southern California to work with Frank Carroll.

Evan Lysacek credits Frank Carroll with not just improving his standings, but also improving his overall confidence.

2010 saw Evan cast not only in Dancing with the Stars but also in the tour of Stars on Ice.

Evan Lysacek's hobbies include running on the beach, golf and yoga.

In February 2010 People reported that Evan Lysacek and another Olympic gold medallist, gymnast Nastia Liukin, had become close friends.

In 2010 Evan Lysacek was coupled with Anna Trebunskaya in Dancing with the Stars. They came second.
