He was born Chad Javon Johnson on January 9, 1978.

He went to Miami Beach High School and then did a physical education major at Oregon State. He also attended Langston University.

Chad Ochocinco is a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, and holds the franchise record for most receiving yards in a season, most receiving yards of all time, and the most seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards.

Ochocinco is the only NFL player to lead his conference in receiving yards for four consecutive seasons.

In 2008 he legally changed his name from Chad Johnson to Chad Ochocinco, which translates to 8 and 5 in Spanish to match his jersey number 85.

Ochocinco went on to announce on that he would be changing his name again to Hachi Go (Hachi is Japanese for 8, and go is Japanese for 5).

In 2010 Chad Ochocinco was coupled with Cheryl Burke in Dancing with the Stars.

They were the eighth couple to be eliminated from the series.

In 2010, after his appearance on Dancing with the Stars, Ochocinco was scheduled to appear on his own VH1 reality dating show The Tournament, on a quest to find a girlfriend among 85 female contestants.
