Danny Leigh's Biography
Danny Leigh was born in 1972.
He is a film reviewer, journalist, and novelist and is best known for his role co-hosting the BBC's Film Programme since 2010.
His first film review was in Neon magazine in 1997.
His live debut on TV was co-presenting Film 2010 with Claudia Winkleman.
He has written regularly for The Guardian, including a weekly online film column since 2007. However, he stopped the column in order to focus on his fiction writing which includes the novels, The Greatest Gift and The Monsters of Gramercy Park.
In 2016, he hosted six short films Film Now, a series about modern cinema, and another series of short films Danny Leigh's British Film Mavericks.
Asked by Paragraph Film Reviews who his movie heroes are, Danny Leigh replied:
"Always has been Buster Keaton, always will be Buster Keaton."
