Who is Paul Dacre?
Paul Michael Dacre was born on 14 November 1948.Paul Dacre was appointed editor of the Daily Mail in 1992.
Dacre was made Editor-in-Chief of Associated Newspapers in 1998 and subsequently held the role at DMG Media, publishers of the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and Metro.
Paul Dacre went to University College School in Hampstead, London and then studied English at the University of Leeds.
After university he became a reporter at the Daily Express in 1970, where he rose up the ranks until he joined the Daily Mail in 1980 as NY Bureau Chief.
He was editor of the Evening Standard from 1991 to 1992, when he became editor of the Daily Mail.
In June 2018, it was announced that Paul Dacre would step down as editor of the Daily Mail in November.
