Jodie Marsh's Biography
Jodie Marsh left school with 11 GCSEs (all A and B grades) and three A Levels. Her parents were wealthy but her school-days were unhappy where she was bullied after a hockey accident gave her an enlarged nose.
Jodie Marsh intended studying law at university, but, instead, she pursued a different path. Jodie first rose to fame in TV's Essex Wives, and since then became a tabloid regular.
Before appearing in Channel 4's The Games, Jodie Marsh said:
"I'm very, very, very competitive in everything I do, I will be trying hard to beat everybody."
She is certainly competitive with Jordan, with whom she has had a long-standing public feud. Jodie Marsh did not mince her words about Abi Titmuss either. She told the Sunday Telegraph Magazine:
"I'm glad she did Love Island because finally the world has seen how pig ugly she is ...She's got four chins and a beer gut and it's all airbrushed out of the pictures in the lads' mags."
On the Channel 4 website for The Games it describes a celebrity meet up:
"James [Hewitt] wasted no time in getting re-acquainted with Jodie. He grabbed the glamour puss in a tight embrace, enjoying a prolonged kiss. He then slapped her on the backside, to which Jodie rejoined: "Do that again!"
In January 2006, Jodie Marsh entered Celebrity Big Brother. She had run-ins with Michael Barrymore and others and she ended up being the first person evicted from Celebrity Big Brother.
Jodie Marsh was friends with Celebrity Big Brother 2007's Jo O'Meara and looked after her horse when O'Meara was in the Big Brother house.
Jodie Marsh did well in Channel 5's The All Star Talent Show, where she danced her way to victory in programme 2, beating Sally James, Oliver Skeete, Ron Atkinson, Peter Duncan and Andy Scott Lee.
In Celebrity Big Brother, Jodie regularly referred to how hurt she was by insults hurled at her and pointed out that her mother and father had not read a newspaper for three years because of the harsh words written about her.
Jodie Marsh was originally rejected as a Page 3 girl and has the rejection letter framed on her wall.
Jodie has visited Barbados so many times that she regards it as a second home and she enjoys jet-skiing and scuba-diving.
In July 2007, Jodie Marsh appeared on MTV in Totally Jodie Marsh: Who'll Take Her Up The Aisle, where she has agreed to get married in September 2007 and is searching for a husband.
The Manchester Evening News reported that since May 2007 Jodie Marsh had been seen spending a lot of time with Stockport model Matt Peacock, one of the contestants on Totally Jodie Marsh: Who'll Take Her Up The Aisle, which only began officially filming a month later.
In one of the episodes Jodie Marsh dumped Matt Peacock, who used to go out with Jordan.
It later emerged that Jodie Marsh and Matt Peacock married on September 1, 2007.
However, by April 2008, Jodie Marsh was dating a 23-year-old barber from Essex.
The Sun reported that Jodie Marsh was appearing on BBC3's Snog, Marry or Avoid? on February 23, 2009.
In 2011, Jodie Marsh came fifth in the Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships.
In September 2016, she appeared on Jodie Marsh Locked Up on TLC.
In October 2016, Jodie Marsh was charged with harassment over text messages she is alleged to have sent to her ex-husband, James Placido.
