Lauren Sanchez was the host of the first series of the FOX show, So You Think You Can Dance - the American reality TV series which searches for the nation's best dancer.

In 2006, Cat Deeley took over as host of So You Think You Can Dance as Lauren Sanchez and her husband, Patrick Whitesell, were expecting a baby.

Lauren also has a son from a previous marriage to Tony Gonzalez.

Lauren Sanchez is also known for her entertainment reports on KTTV's FOX 11 10 O'clock News, and as anchor on KCOP UPN 13 News.

After majoring in Communications at the University of Southern California, Lauren Sanchez has held various positions in broadcasting since starting as a news assistant in 1993.

These roles include being anchor/reporter on Fox Sports Tonight

Sanchez was nominated for an Emmy for a report revealing the dangers of metal baseball bats.

Lauren Sanchez has appeared in movies including Fight Club.
