Hala El-Shafie's Biography
Hala El-Shafie was raised in Scarborough, but her parents are Sudanese.
She is a consultant nutritionist who is a registered dietitian in both the NHS and private sectors including at the Harley Nutrition Clinic.
She completed her training at University College Hospital in London.
Hala El-Shafie regularly contributes to magazines about nutrition and has also been featured on television, where her credits include being a resident nutritionist on This Morning and an expert on the Tonight programme.

Together with Xand van Tulleken, Hala El-Shafie presented the Channel 4 series How To Lose Weight Well.
She was also a nutritionist creating recipes for BBC One's Eat Well for Less, with Gregg Wallace and Chris Bavin.
Hala El-Shafie, together with one of her former clients Meg Matthews, founded the lifestyle website Nutrition Rocks.
In 2016, ITV announced that Hala El-Shafie would be the nutritionist on the second series of Sugar Free Farm.
