Hamza Yassin's Biography
Who is Hamza Yassin?
Hamza Yassin is a wildlife cameraman and presenter.
His television credits include hosting Let's Go For a Walk on CBeebies, the BBC's Animal Park, and the More4 series, Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness.
Hamza moved to the Scottish Highlands, living in Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan peninsula; and filmed Scottish wildlife and became a wildlife cameraman.
In 2022, Hamza Yassin posted on Instagram: "Masters Honours Degree from Bangor University. Following in the footsteps of countless amazing people including one of the people I look up to the most: Sir David Attenborough who also received this award.
"Let me start off by saying how grateful I am, and I want to thank everyone at Bangor University, especially my lecturers, my professors, my colleagues, and finally my parents."
In 2022, he became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.
He was paired with Jowita Przystał.They ended up winning Strictly.
About 50 or 60 people, half of the inhabitants of Kilchoan, gathered in the community hall each week to watch Hamza compete in Strictly.
In 2023, Hamza was one of the camera people on Sir David Attenborough's Wild Isles, filming golden eagles in the Cairngorms.
In March 2023, Hamza Yassin thanked Bangor University, his former university, for help with dyslexia.
