Linda Evans's Biography
Linda Evans was born Linda Evanstad in Hartford on 18 November 1942.
Linda Evans's first major acting break came playing Audra Barkley in The Big Valley.
The show ended in 1969 and it was not until 1981 and her starring role in Dynasty that she gained her next major breakthrough.
Linda Evans played Krystle Carrington in Dynasty until 1989. She starred alongside Joan Collins and John Forsythe, in what became the most popular series in TV history.
The Mirror had an account of Linda Evans and Joan Collins working together again in a play called Legends:
"Joan Collins claims she has been scarred for life after an on-stage fight with her ex-Dynasty co-star Linda Evans."
Linda Evans used to be married to John Derek. In The Independent's obituary of John Derek it points out that:
"In 1972, Derek fell in love with Mary Cathleen Collins, a 16-year-old Californian (younger than his son and daughter) who was acting in a film he was directing in Greece, Fantasies. To avoid legal complications, he took her to Germany and as soon as she turned 18 he divorced Evans to marry her, also taking charge of her career.
"As Bo Derek, she became famous starring with Julie Andrews and Dudley Moore in Blake Edwards's 10."
In 2009, Linda Evans won Hell's Kitchen.
