When Debra Stephenson was 14, she appeared on the TV talent show Opportunity Knocks, reaching the All-Winners' Final.

Debra Stephenson trained as an actress at the Manchester Metropolitan University School of Drama.
She gained diverse roles on television from acting in Reckless and Cone Zone to presenting on CBBC's Friday Zone.
Further acting roles followed, notably playing Diane Powell in Playing the Field; playing Shell Dockley in Bad Girls; and playing Frankie Baldwin in Coronation Street.
She also performed stand-up comedy, and in 2009, she showed off her impressions and comedic skills in The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson.
She is married to James Duffield and they have two children, Max and Zoe.
Debra Stephenson has also made a fitness DVD.
